"I going to win the science fair this year by doing something that no one has ever done." by Luther T. Farrell. This means that that Luther is willing to do anything in order to win the science fair. He just wants to be the only one to ever win 3 years in a row. I agree with this because if I really wanted to win something, I would do anything. this can clearly be seen in chapter 1 page 10. Wining the science fair 3 years in a row would be the best thing in the world. Luther is  shooting for that goal this year. He is for sure going to win when the judges see that he used different equipment, he is going to make his project more realistic, and he is going to be more patience. By doing this Luther has a better chance at been the youngest and the only student to ever win 3 years in a row.

I am bright and intelligent.

I wonder if I will win the science fair.

I hear my moms yelling.

I see a way out of leaving to another country.

I want to move.

I am scare and nervous.

I pretend that I enjoy living with my mom.

I feel that I got the chance to win the science fair.

I touch the trophy one last time.

I worry if I got completion at the science fair.

I cry when other people beat me at competitions.

I am afraid.

I understand if I don't leave the town.

I say I always want to leave but never do it.

I dream about starting a new life somewhere else.

I try to help my mom on her business.

I hope I can find a way o leave town.

I am ready and prepare.

Luther fights to survive his criminal mother.

the theme would have to be about a character's ambition.

I chose this book because Christopher Paul Curtis is a

great author. Before even reading this book, I think the

character will escape but will have to go through a lot

of problems.

-To me this quote means that a hero is willing to do anything to achieve what he or she wants. They would rather go through so many obsticles then to give up. Time is the only thing they worry about.

-I agree with his quote because no matter how hard the consequences is, they will survive it.

-An example of my life hero would be when i dislocated my shoulder. My dad wass the hero that day. He picked me up and carried me all the way to the hospital on his back. The reason why his the hero because he had barely gotten out of surgery and is still having back problems, he still carried me and managed to get me to the hospital.
